Miami HELICOPTER SCHOOLS

  Professional Flight Training Since 1986

"Our mission is to safely and efficiently train our students for a career in aviation. After our students complete their initial ratings, we introduce them to real-world commercial work where they gain experience that no other school can offer. We've done this for every one of our flight instructors since I started flying in 1986. We train all our students to a guaranteed job with us as our photo contract for BOATPIX.com provides a surplus of real world hours in actual photo missions."
-Tom McDermott, Manager

No Other Helicopter Flight School Better Prepares You for a Career as a Helicopter Pilot
Any flight school can sell you your ratings and the dream of becoming a helicopter pilot. Only Miami Helicopter Schools can take you from student pilot to career pilot. Most schools will train you to meet the FAA minimum requirements, and then leave you on your own to gain the flight experience to meet the minimums of most insurance companies and employers. After you have your FAA Commercial Helicopter certificate, your biggest challenge is gaining the experience that will make you employable as a helicopter
pilot. Almost all turbine operators require at least 1000 hours of pilot in command (PIC) time. Even many Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) finish their training without the experience they need to teach. We not only train pilots, but provide them with the experience they need to begin their career.

Our helicopter school that guarantees you are ready for your first job

We provide both the training you need to become a safe, proficient pilot, and a path to acquiring the experience you need to become employable as a helicopter pilot.

Just want to take a ride in a helicopter? We offer helicopter tours in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Key Biscayne.

While earning your Commercial Helicopter certificate, we train our students to conduct aerial photography missions. Our training program also includes the time building needed to the minimum insurance requirements for Pathfinder Insurance, the largest insurer of Robinson Helicopters. Upon graduation from our program, every student is hired by us to fulfill our photo contract with BoatPix.com.

These photo contracts provide low-time pilots, who otherwise couldn't be hired by any other company, with a safe, fun, and challenging way to gain the experience required by most turbine operators. We guarantee this opportunity to every one of our graduates.
Miami Helicopter Schools has placed pilots in every sector of the industry

Miami Helicopter Schools has been training
pilots since 1986. Our graduates have advanced
through our program, built time flying aerial photography missions, and then gone on to land jobs flying turbine helicopters all over the world.
The training and experience pilots gain with us prepares them for real-world operations. Most
low-time pilots build time instructing at a school.
Our pilots fly real-world, low-level commercial
missions that utilize the full potential of a
helicopter. This experience builds the skills they
need for flying turbine helicopters in the Gulf of
Mexico, Grand Canyon and Alaska tours, utility
work, aerial firefighting, and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS).

"I couldn't find a job with 200hrs and a CFII. Miami Helicopter Schools got me to 300hrs cheap and gave me a job. A year later I had 1,200hrs and was flying Longrangers for Papillion!"
-Paul Petrone

We offer training in the following Helicopter ratings: Private, Commercial, Flight instructor, Instrument, and Instrument Flight Instructor.
